This is the penultimate line cook/chef plating spoon. Chef Kunz has crafted a spoon with a handle that fits the hand and fingers well, a bowl on it that is deep and wide but funnels well towards a properly narrow tip and a sturdy and ergonomic design overall. If you have never used a plating spoon and are dubious of its benefits (like I was), buy this spoon. It will prove its worth every service you use it and you’ll be a convert just like the rest of us. I use mine at every shift, every time. Paired with the small one and the slotted set, I know I’m covered for every task I need a spoon for on my sauté station.
